I should tell you that what I just said is utter b*ll*cks, so it’s just as accurate as the Bible.
Before being exiled by the Romans, anyway. Also, It was split into two halves, Gallilee and Judea, with Samaria between, and the whole general area was still called Palestine.
And “eye of the needle” is apparently one letter off the name of a smaller gate off to the side in some cities. At night, that was how you got in. It was small enough that a camel had to be coaxed to walk on his knees to fit through.
