Now close your eyes and tell me how many doodles you remember.
Is that monkey a reference to the chimpanzee librarian from the Discworld’s Unseen University, or am I reading into this too much?
Thomas Edison believed that each person had lots of little people living inside their heads. These are the people living inside Luke Surls head.
Okay, now let’s look for a narrative.
The snake was given a lift by the alien to the burger bar inside the zoo next to the Chimpanzee exhibit. After that they visited the aquarium and met mister crab, who told them about the time a Ribena bottle hit him on the head. The bottle had been dropped from a plane delivering supplies to the Kingdom of Green, which is situated on a small island around a volcano which they worship as a God. Their ruler is King Moustache the Magnificent, whose first edict was that everyone should read a few pages from a new book at tea-time.
P.S.
The website my name usually links to is down. Click my name from this post to reach a temp site.
Bravo
The happy snake met an alien that turned him into a hamburger. The monkey was excited and told the fish who stole the hamburger and fed it to a crab. The crab got sick and farted in a bottle which then became airborne then smashed into a plane which crashed on planet crowny. This made the volcano god happy and he blew up and spewed lava over the alien pygmies. Some strange guy servers everyone still alive) a strange brew and it gets stranger.
That’s a beard/moustache combo you can trust.
Chapter 1
There was once a snake. It was on a “Don’t Tread On Me” flag that belonged to an alien, who was being oppressed by the mayor of the Kingdom of Green (more on that later). This alien was new to Earth and went to all of the usual places- the burger joint, the zoo, the aquarium and the beach. These of course were in the Red Republic, the rivals of the Kingdom of Green, because Red Republic rulers were much more tolerant. He was happy there when a bottle of nitroglycerin fell on his head.
Chapter 2
This bottle was dropped by a Kingdom of Green jet that was going disguised as a Red Republic jet in order to enter Red Republic airspace and commit terrorism. This bombing was a victory for the Kingdom of Green, so they held a parade. They flew the flag, and even had an appearance by the mayor of their capital Emerald City. Verdant Elementary all put on their green uniforms and green hats and marched with their giant papier-mache baking-soda-and-vinegar volcano. The only reason the volcano wasn’t green is that later they were going to sneak it into Red Republic territory disguised as an actual volcano, filled with something more destructive. All hail King Malachite.
Epilogue
A teacup sits brooding. He wonders why he was transformed into a teacup ,instead of a dead alien, when the nitro fell, but really that’s not important right now. All that matters now is revenge. He reads all he can of Kingdom of Green literature. King Malachite will never escape his wrath…
To Be Continued when Luke posts more doodles…
And no, I don’t know why the Emerald City mayor wears a red bowtie and appears on a red background. Foreboding?
