Hey!
So there’s been a bit of a redesign round here, hope you like! Cosmetically it shouldn’t be a too big a leap from what it was before, but you should find things are a little sleeker and quicker. Behind the scenes things are a lot nicer, and I can do a some fun things with the site now that I couldn’t do before - you should see some evidence of this over the next few days.
All credit should go to Marco who I will highly recommend for anyone looking to create or upgrade their WordPress Sites.
If you see any bugs send me an email ([email protected]) and I’ll get on it. One thing that is happening, and it’s due to the rather terrible way I was coding this site before, is that a lot of the mouseover texts are displaying below the comic and not how they should do. Sadly there’s no quick way to solve it (I have some fun evenings ahead of me amending 300+ posts), so please bear with this for a little while . Also the “search” function in the menubar there will steadily improve as I go back and tag + transcribe some old comics.
I’d better get some sleep now, hope you enjoy the new site!
Peace
Luke
Ooooh, shiny. I like the new look. Mostly. The blue bar which goes across every comment does seem kinda disjointed. But you finally have the Gravatars set up.
Wait, it changed between me beginning that comment and me posting it. The bar looks cool now. And kinda grey.
The site lookas quite broken with Google Chrome on an Ubuntu machine. The links at the top have text running over the images, and text boxes (like this one) run over the margins at the side of the page.
It doesn’t affect the comics though - which what matters!
Okay…. does posting a comment refresh something - cos just like the post above after I posted my comment everything got fixed!
Maybe you need to purge some cache somewhere…
I always read posts and strips in the RSS reader so I can’t even remember what it looked like before, but it looks nice now. I think.
Mouseover text is so . Forget about it.
That should have been “so [insert year here]“. Bloody WordPress stripping < and >
