Well, I’m reading other things and supposedly the song was purposely supposed to not have anything ironic. Which makes very little sense to me, but I suppose they didn’t want to stir anyone’s pot.
Also, it could be cosmic irony, though, still a bad example of that. Plus, people don’t pay attention to that kind as much.
There is a word for describing all these occurrences… IRONIC
Good job, this is one of the best so far
Unfortunately the only thing ironic about Alanis Morsette’s song is that she named it “Ironic”.
@Grant
It might have been the intention … how ironic
*ducks*
This is not irony, its just bad luck.
Well to be fair, she never says its irony, she just keeps asking “Isn’t it ironic?”
Unless its supposed to be take as a rhetorical question, then “Whoops I don’t know what irony is lolol.”

I do believe that one word you are looking for is unfortunate
yeah… irony isn’t close to this… if u want a real example of irony, look it up on like dictionary.com or something
I like how it says, “Alan & Is….” on the banner.
Some of the examples are genuinely ironic (in a broad sense) imho, such as “a free ride when you’d already paid”.
Alanis is in season 5 of Weeds! Who knew she could act?
Wow.. so many people do comics from this song…
