As a Danish national (born and raised, 20 years) I will say this. The internal scandinavian warring (starting around the 1800’s and ending a few decades after the napoleonic wars) ended and was replaced more by Football (not the NFL kind) than by Eurovision.
Maybe it’s just because we’re very Nordic Minded, but our rivalry with Sweden is going our way in Football, so that’s where we focus our ire.
Maybe a Swede will go against this, I hope they do, but so far I’m still 99.9999% for my home nation.
I miss MrGBH. Oh and Mr Surl I’m also glad you’re back.
This is why, for all its faults, I’m such a fan of the EU … uh, the song contest. Especially when the UK gets nul point. Because screw those guys.
I think I heard about the contest… something with music was it ? I think I even saw one episode years back on some not-good channel. Here’s the kicker, I am from Czech Republic…
