Chapter: Comics
|
Pretty much as it says in the image! I, and the comics, will be back in October. That’ll be the end of a fairly travelling-filled summer for me, so hopefully we should be able to get back to nice, regular updates again.
While there are no comics here, why not recommend some other webcomics in the comments section? As an incentive, there’s a prize of Weapons Grade Puntonium (the book of LukeSurl.com some of you may have seen) for the best* webcomic recommended that I haven’t seen before.

Best webcomic? Dang, I would suggest this one really good one, but the author just left and won’t be coming back until October. Still, you could always head over to LukeSurl.com and check out the archives.
Sorry… But the “in my… opinion” part at the bottom required that I write this.
“…that I haven’t seen before”. I am reasonably familiar with Luke’s work. He’s OK.
That you haven’t seen before, hmm. Well I’m betting Dresden Codak is one you have seen, ditto Gunnerkrigg Court. Oglaf, I wouldn’t be surprised. If you’ve not read Lords of Death and Life yet or A Mad Tea Party then, well, I promise not to tell JD… too loudly. Darths and Droids? Have you read that? How many guesses do I get?
Do you know Red Moon Rising? Gorgeous art, steampunk fantasy setting: http://www.redmoonrising.org/
http://www.ribaldyouth.com/ is a good one, and is now complete. I also don’t think many people have heard of it, so I’m getting its name out there!

My submission is the first one of these that you haven’t seen already:
Foxtrot
Doctor Cat
My Life as a Stickperson
Wondermark
My Little Pony: Friendship is Betrayal
Kevin and Kell
And if that’s not allowed, my submission is only Foxtrot.
And if you’ve seen all of these, then all I can say is you clearly already know all of the good comics in existence.
Hmmm… Yeah, whichever of these you haven’t seen…
Hark, A Vagrant
Kawaii Not
Cowbirds in Love
Mokepon
Bad Machinery
Seen it before probably, read it ALL, probably not:
OOTS!
Surviving the world / stw
Scandinavia and the world
Ctrl alt del
Undeclared major
I’ll respond again if i can remember the others I am thinking of.
These are my favorites. They are all story driven comics which have reached a definite conclusion and are still available to read online in their entirety. Enjoy.
(The list is in no particular order)
Crimson Dark
Garanos
Get Medieval
Anatta
Minus
Kismet: Hunter’s Moon
A Miracle of Science*
Digger
MARRY ME
FreakAngels
The 10K Commotion
Rice Boy
*If I had to pick one as my submission, it would be A Miracle of Science
El Goonish Shive.
Distillum (www.distillum.com) has high ‘good’ and ‘likely Luke hasn’t read it yet’ parameters.
Also, if you prefer gag-a-day style comics, I reccommend the following:
Wonderella
Edmund Finney’s Quest to Find the Meaning of Life
Awkward Zombie, for anyone who likes video games.

The Wotch - slightly satirical with a cliché fantasy plot. Guys get turned into girls. The usual.
